Welcome to the Book Bunny Burrow!

Hello, hello and welcome! I'm so chuffed that you've made it all the way here, to my cozy little neck of the woods! It must've been a long journey, no? Come in and pull up a chair next to the fire. We've pillows and cushions for you to kick your feet up against, and - oh! - I've just put a kettle on, so I can fix you a spot of tea. For brunch, I've made a loaf of hazelnut bread - we can top it with some fresh meadowcream and drink a flagon of strawberry cordial to wash it all down. And while you rest, we'll share some stories by the fire...

This is the Book Bunny Burrow, a cozy spot run by me, Kiri, a book-loving critter who loves nothing more than to be curled up with a good book underneath warm, soft blankets. A sweet-smelling candle, a steaming hot cuppa, and an entralling book are some of my sweetest pleasures in life.

I've always been a lifelong reader, and lately I've become more contemplatve about why I read, and being more thoughtful about the tales I share around my hearth. For much of my life, I chased the new and the novel (ah! the first of many book puns), but now I find myself wanting to settle down with tales that make nourish me and fill my soul with something deeper.

I'll be blogging about my thoughts and yapping away as I read my favorite books, hyperfixating about Lord of the Rings and the Redwall series, and also talking about how it informs my own creative journey as a writer as well. I'm certain there will be rambles about all of my other interests as well: the latest loaf of bread I've baked, my adventures in Final Fantasy 14, and my quest to step bravely outside of my hobbit hole and go on my own adventures, instead of just reading about them from my little nook.
